It’s the Little Things
So many little things Anthony Mondal has given us to chew on this lovely Tuesday! His visual poem creates an extensive experience of the message of his words. He also provided us with written poems, the last one being of special interest as he wrote it in 2018, and yet it holds such relevance today. Take a look and enjoy his work!
Closed Windows
People who keep their windows closed
No Sunlight ever doth enter, that household
Born and Bred in artificial light
In dark gloomy morbid thoughts-their Souls seek flight.

Devaluation?
In the marketplaces of this world
Where Life as a cheap commodity sold
Buyers and sellers aye they are plenty
But few are those who appreciates life’s worth fully.

Through the big Glass Window
Through the big glass window
I see the American flag fluttering in wind
Moving this way and then another
I have heard rumors that the flag stands for Liberty Justice and Freedom
So here in this land of liberty….with nothing left to do
I am reclining on a couch in a depressed mood.
The house foreclosure tax bill has just arrived
My other half staring blankly at a wall
The dog staying far away …hidden underneath the table
Ahh….. domestic bliss in the sanctuary
In the land of the free and home of the brave.
Note from the Poet/author: This poem was inspired by a true event. Which happened very recently in my life.
