Call For Submissions – Online Open Mic March 2020

Yes, that’s right Ponderbots, the Online Open Mic in January went so well that there is another one coming up just around the corner in March!

So, if you didn’t get to submit last time, but you were wanting to, you now have another chance to participate! And if you did participate last time, you are welcome to submit again!

You know the drill, see below for guidelines, and I can’t wait to see what you’re pondering!

Submission Guidelines:

1. Send your art of any kind (poems, music, drawings, paintings, videos, or any medium of creativity!). It can be of any genre or topic.

(Disclaimer: Submissions that include hate, discrimination, or inappropriate content will not be accepted).

2. Include a picture of yourself or any photo that you feel represents yourself as an artist.

3. Include any bios, links to your work, or social media sites that you would like to be shared.

4. Email your submission to Mia Savant at pondersavant@gmail.com with the subject line: Online Open Mic.

5. Follow the blog site www.pondersavant.com. If you have Facebook or Instagram follow there as well @pondersavant.

6. Spread the word! Let other artists know about the Online Open Mic by your social media sites or word of mouth!

Hey there, Ponderbots,

Do you have artwork that you have been wanting to share, but maybe you aren’t sure if it’s good enough yet? Maybe you have a creation that you are super proud of, but you haven’t found the right venue to submit it to? Or maybe you are working on lots of art all the time and you submit to every opportunity you find?

Whatever your status, I want to see it, read it, hear it! Every bit of art is an inspiration that you are out there breathing and feeling just like the rest of us. Your stories give voice to those who cannot speak for themselves. Your music brings beauty to moments that otherwise would have been filled with emptiness. Your passion encourages others to dream for themselves. Whether you are just starting out or have been working on your craft for years, your art has value.

With that in mind, I am kicking off the new year by giving you an opportunity to share your ponders with me. This January, I am hosting an online open-mic!

What is an online open-mic? Good question! It is where you submit your art of any kind, music, poetry, drawings, paintings, etc. of any genre or topic. Your work will then be displayed on my blog: www.pondersavant.com during the month of January 2020.

So, send me your work, your passions, your ponders! The magic you’ve created is wanted here.

Calling for art submissions! Art of any kind welcome: poems, drawings, videos, music, etc.

The Halloween season is close upon us and I am excited to see the art that will come out of it.

All Halloween themes are welcome, however, I am particularly interested in any art that relates to existential thoughts, dread, or existentialism.

Love Thy Neighbor -ing Country/Call For Submission

Calling for submissions of art in all forms: Poetry, songs, video links, pictures, paintings, etc.

In this series, I am joining together people’s art as a form of peaceful protest against the recent attack on immigrants and refugees in the U.S. I want to combat the inhumane treatment and hateful speech by creating a space where people can express the greatness that comes from loving other countries and cultures. People are people no matter which country they come from and all deserve to be treated with compassion and respect.

Together, let’s make the sounds of love cry out so loudly that the hate cannot be heard in its midst.

Submissions ~

Subject: Art in regards to protests against the recent inhumane treatment of refugees in the U.S., fighting against racism, embracing immigrants, and finding the love and joy in surrounding countries and cultures.

About your Art: Please include a brief summary as to the meaning behind your submission or what is on your heart about the subject.

Picture: Please submit a picture of yourself or one that represents your work.

Links: Lastly, if you have any links that you would like to be shared, feel free to include any social media or website links to be attached to your feature.

Calling For Submissions! The Art of Depression: A Mini-Series

Come, be brave and inspire others by your creativity.

I am calling for art submissions that are inspired by depression/anxiety for my upcoming mini-series. The art can be validating the struggle, challenges faced within it, hope beyond it, etc. The goal is to remind people they are not alone, and to see some beauty come out of an otherwise painful experience.

To have your work considered to be a part of this blog series, please follow the instructions below.
