Garden of Shadows
Reaching,

in burgundy-blood,

briar roses;

hold me, as we

both ache in

the silver of thorns.

A ruddy moon 

draws up

something
like flame.

What grows,

but songs,

chants,

voices

in falling breath.

Hold me,

encircle me,

nourish me

in both light,

and dark.
