Garden of Shadows
Reaching,
in burgundy-blood,
briar roses;
hold me, as we
both ache in
the silver of thorns.
A ruddy moon
draws up
something
like flame.
What grows,
but songs,
chants,
voices
in falling breath.
Hold me,
encircle me,
nourish me
in both light,
and dark.
